ANYTHING can happen at the drop of a hat.

Park your derriere in the stands and brace yourself for a night full of cowboy western wonder. All of us here at Hyo Silver are always excited when this summer series rolls around, and we are especially honored to sponsor and provide trophy buckle prizes for this local event. We love supporting both our community and the amazingly talented cowboys and cowgirls who saddle up every Friday night.

Every summer, Karen & Troy Konvicka head this Summer Series. They are all about promoting the cowboy way of life:

“We may experience more hardships than ordinary life, but those hardships make us who we are. Determined, hardworking, driven, caring, and honest people who would give a helping hand whenever needed. We may face adversity just like anyone else in this world, but what might make us different is how we handle that adversity. We use it as ammo to better the situation and not let it overtake us. If we succumb to all the hard times this lifestyle throws at us, we wouldn’t be around long enough to see all the rewards and happiness that it brings overall.” — Karen and Troy Konvika quoted from ridingonfaithrodeo.com.

The Magic of Summer Rodeo Night

As a warm breeze drifts its way through the echoing stands, the arena lights begin to flicker and buzz to life on a Friday night at Mansfield Park in Bandera, Texas. As the sun begins to set, the crickets and critters come to life, and it’s time for the show to begin.

From the moment the first pair of boots and hooves fall heavily into the freshly raked dirt, you’ll be in awe of the various sights and sounds. Watch on through the night as competitors move seamlessly from event to event — Breakaway and Tie Down Ropers eagerly tread dirt in the box, waiting for the unmistakable sound of a buzzer that sends the shoots open and their ropes flying through the thick summer air and (hopefully) around a pair of horns and hooves.

Barrel Racers serpentine in clover-like formations, drifting around barrels with unmatched grace and speed, while Bronc and Bull Riders gaze out over the roughstock of the night, taking inventory of the animals they may be soon partnered with and keeping their eyes on the prize.

Rodeo isn’t just for the adults though — all cowboys and cowgirls had to start somewhere, and that’s with Mutton Busting! Watch on with pride as the future generation of rodeo hops on a sheep, takes the wool reins, and rides into the future full speed ahead.

These are just a few of the amazing things you’ll see every Friday night at the Riding on Faith Rodeo Summer Series. The roar of the crowd, the excitement of the events, and the heart-pounding action of cowboys and cowgirls doing what they do best—it’s an experience like no other. So, dust off your boots, grab your hat, and come be a part of the magic. Whether you’re here for the thrills, the spills, or just a taste of true Texas spirit, there’s something for everyone.

Custom Belt Buckles for True Rodeo Hearts

This year, Hyo Silver has carefully handcrafted 15 one-of-a-kind custom belt buckles for Riding on Faith Rodeo contestants who demonstrate not only the skill and dedication needed to persevere in the arena, but who also possess a rodeo heart that pumps and beats to the rhythm and roar of a hometown crowd.

As an extra special treat, Hyo Silver also crafted one-of-a-kind buckles for the Miss Riding on Faith Rodeo Queen and Princess Pageant. Cowgirls from Bandera and the surrounding Texas Hill Country counties gathered to compete for the coveted titles, tiaras, and trophy buckles. After a full day of horsemanship, interviews, and speeches, the lucky winners were crowned across town at 11th Street Cowboy Bar. Miss Rayni Sandidge was crowned queen and Miss Miranda Drane was crowned princess. In addition to receiving Hyo Silver custom trophy buckles, the queen and princess also received various items from local businesses around Bandera.
